The Story

Four locations. One day. Three formats nobody had to wait for.

The brief

Aber Falls came to us needing a product marketing campaign with reach, something that could move across social in every format, feel premium, and not read like a flat studio shoot. The product needed to live in four distinct environments, each with its own mood, and the whole thing had to be turned around fast and on budget.

The catch: four real-world locations, four separate shoot days, four crews, the conventional route was never going to fit the schedule or the spend.

Our approach

We built the locations instead of travelling to them. Over day one, we created five virtual environments using a mixture of Gaussian Splatting scans and 2D plates — each chosen to suit the shot, the required depth, and how the camera needed to move through it.

That gave us four finished locations to shoot against the next morning, all from a single stage, with no travel days and no weather to chase.

  • Gaussian splat environments for photoreal, depth-accurate scenes
  • 2D plates for flatter, faster setups where parallax wasn’t needed
  • Dolly track for controlled, repeatable camera movement
  • Green screen stage with real-time on-set compositing
  • Rec 709 colour-matched monitoring for live look approval

On set

Day two was the shoot. Everything was captured on a dolly track, giving us smooth, controlled moves across every environment. Rather than treat each location as a separate static setup, we shot and processed the scenes to flow as a single continuous sequence, with the camera carrying the viewer from one world into the next, so the final film feels dynamic and deliberate rather than cut together.

With the composite live on the monitor, framing and movement were locked in the room, not weeks later in post.

The result

Day three was the edit. Sound design and visual effects were layered in to lift the campaign, sharpening the product, polishing the transitions, and taking the marketing film to the next level.

Aber Falls were delivered a full social toolkit: four scenes, each cut for every medium

— plus a longer hero edit combining all four scenes into a single film.

Four locations, five environments, every social format, built, shot, and delivered in three days from one Welsh stage.

Prep on day one. Shoot on day two. Edit and effects on day three. Delivered. The kind of turnaround virtual production makes possible — and proof that a campaign with this much range doesn’t need four locations, four shoot days, or a London budget.
